Trackers by Deon Meyer

Synopsis :

Lemmer's First Law: Don't get involved. But when Emma le Roux looks at him with pleading eyes, when the roof of his Karoo house needs big repairs, when the cause is good and just, laws can be broken. It will stomp fear and horror through the life of Milla Strachan, who walked out on her rich, cheating husband and abusive teenage son to start a new life. A trail of death, stretching from the Chizarira to the Cape Waterfront. And at the end of it, nobody will be untouched.

This is what I say :

Trackers started off very promisingly.  It gave the perspective of different characters with different roles  in the story.  I enjoyed reading the perspected of Milla Strachan and Lemmer.  After that, the story become disjointed and quite confusing and I just got lost as to how the whole puzzle is supposed to be like.

All I know is that the story is being lead into 'someone' or at first it was thought be to something is being smuggled into South Africa but in the end, it turned out to be someone notoriously important and well know n the world.  Of curse, it is just a work of fictions but for the whole book to lead just up to that, I find it rather 'meh' if you know what 'meh' is.

Then, there's the title...Trackers...how on earth does this title relate to the story?  I am lost.
